Q: It snowed last night, when can I expect to have
my road plowed?
A: Snow removal is
done by priority. State highways, such as M-29, I-94, etc., have
the highest priority. Then, the primary roads (main connecting
roads), followed by the local roads (township roads). When the
road gets cleared depends on the type of road you reside on.
Q: My mailbox was knocked down by a road
commission truck. How do I get it fixed?
A: Mailboxes are
sometimes knocked down by road commission trucks when plowing
snow. The Road Commission has created a policy
that addresses this issue. Please visit out

Q: A road commission truck threw a stone
into my windshield. Is the Road Commission going to pay for it?
A: Contact your insurance
company to see if you have applicable coverage before contacting our
office.
Q: Do I need to get a permit to put in a
new driveway?
A: A
permit is needed to install a new driveway for access to
property adjacent to a County road. It is
advisable to contact the township in which the property
is located if the driveway is to be installed outside of
the public right of way.
Q: Do I need anything to work in the road
right-of-way?
A: Any
activity performed in the Public Right-of-way will need
a permit from the Road Commission's Permits Dept. Please
